Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. General Cancellation Policy
At BrightWay Landscape Lighting, we understand that project timelines and schedules can change. To maintain our high standard of service and manage our installation crews effectively, we have established the following guidelines for cancellations and rescheduling.
2. Cancellation Notice Requirement
- Customers must provide at least 48 hours' notice for any cancellation or rescheduling requests.
- For large-scale installations requiring specialized equipment or a full crew, we appreciate as much advance notice as possible.
- Cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice will not incur any administrative or cancellation fees.
3. Late Cancellations & Fees
- Late Cancellation: If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service or installation, a cancellation fee of 25% of the estimated labor cost may be applied to cover scheduling losses.
- No-Show / No-Access Fee: If our team arrives at the service location and cannot access the property (e.g., locked gates) or perform the scheduled work due to circumstances beyond our control, a fee of 50% of the service call cost may apply.
4. Custom Materials & Deposits
- Fixture Orders: For projects involving high-end or custom-ordered brass/copper fixtures, once the order is placed with the manufacturer, the material cost may be non-refundable if the manufacturer does not accept returns.
- Deposits: Any deposits made for large projects will be refunded in full if cancelled 7 days in advance. For cancellations after that, we will refund the deposit minus any costs incurred for materials already purchased for your specific project.
5. Rescheduling Policy
- We encourage customers to reschedule rather than cancel whenever possible.
- Rescheduling requests made at least 48 hours in advance will be accommodated without any additional charges, subject to our current project calendar and availability.
6. Weather-Related Cancellations
- Landscape lighting installation involves electrical components and outdoor trenching. If weather conditions (heavy rain, lightning, or saturated ground) prevent us from completing the service safely or professionally, we will reschedule at the earliest available date.
- Customers will be notified as soon as possible in case of weather-related schedule changes, and no penalties will apply to the customer in these instances.
7. Refund Policy
- Prepayments: If a prepayment has been made and the service is canceled with at least 48 hours' notice, a full refund will be issued.
- Service Satisfaction: If you are unsatisfied with a completed installation, please contact us within 24 hours. While labor is generally non-refundable, we will work with you to make any necessary adjustments to ensure you love your new lighting.
- Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
8. Emergency Cancellations
We understand that true emergencies happen. If you need to cancel due to an urgent family or medical emergency, please contact us immediately at +1 561-676-2463 to discuss a waiver of any applicable fees.
